Iraq Slowly Becomes a Democracy and WWIII is Prevented

Posted by Lance Winslow

It is truly amazing the constant thunder of sound and fury generated by the war in Iraq which we won after toppling Saddam and the current battle against Al Queda and other insurgents there as we cull a civil war from occurring. Many are critical in the media of the President’s Administration and the US involvement in Iraq. But the more we look into the situation the more it is quite evident that; we will win in Iraq and that it will become a Democracy. We can thank our troops for getting it done and the Iraqi people for their desire and stead-fastness to self governance. This will happen.

Let's Restrict the Definition of Marriage for Straights

Posted by Jean Fritz

The debate du jour across the country is whether to legitimatize homosexual unions with the title of “marriage.” The primary argument against this move is that doing so dilutes the meaning of marriage and diminishes the family, which is one of the cornerstones of civilization. I happen to agree with this perspective. However, there are heterosexual couplings that also fit that template. Perhaps we should also restrict the definition of “marriage” for heterosexuals as well.

Behind the Cult of Chavez

I boarded a plane in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a long flight to Caracas, Venezuela. The plane was packed with Venezuelans. Some of them, judging from their dress, manner of speech, and number of electronic gadgets, had traveled to Argentina as part of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez’s security detail for the Mar del Plata Summit. The rest, farmers in shabby clothes with worn, wrinkled hands, had been sent to fill the stands with Venezuelan blood, hot enough to shout in favor of their leader.

No Prosecutors Should Ever Hold Office

It has become apparent in hindsight that those politicians who have previously been prosecutors should never hold office. They often have a negative skewed view of the world having seen some of the worst of humanity. Such a view makes them elitists and untrusting of those they will need to work with, get along with and complete projects with. If we allow those who actually believe that all people are evil then they are going to treat us like prisoners in our own country, because they believe they are righteous and we are all minuscule and unworthy.

Alternative to Land Mines in Middle East

With the recent threats from Bin Laden and Al Queda to attack Oil Fields, Pipelines, Facilities, Refiners and Assets of Oil Companies which supply the United States with it’s need fuel, such operations will have to upgrade and defend themselves. There are many options from robotics to land mines. Yet many options involve killing trespassers indiscriminately with robotic sentinels:

Are Civil Servant Workers Really Nobel?

We hear all the time the Corporate Corruption is of the highest concern that all business people are inherently dishonest. We hear those who are in opposition to various politicians say that they abuse their power in government. We are a society that likes to place blame wherever and when ever, yet we fail to look at the true problems of our civilization.
